Class of 2008 College Matriculation List

Choosing a college is a process, not a single event. The college counselor provides personal attention and guidance so that each student's eventual decision is thoughtful, organized and based on the individual's best interests. Each family is in constant contact with the counselor throughout the process as we explore the student's realistic desires and options.

Our College Counseling process begins during a student’s Freshman year.  Faculty advisors encourage students to think about their future plans and help them choose courses that will help them achieve their goals.  This process continues through Junior year, when students and families begin to meet individually with our College Counselor.  Our Counselor meets with families throughout a student’s Junior year and through the summer as they narrow down their college choices.  Senior year, in addition to individual meetings, our Counselor meets with the entire class in bi-weekly meetings to keep students informed and help them stay on track.

In conjunction with the Cleveland Council of Independent Schools, Andrews Osborne Academy is fortunate to offer many opportunities for families to learn more about the College selection process.  In December, families (from all grades) are encouraged to attend a seminar about Financial Aid.  In January, families have the opportunity to attend a panel discussion with admissions representative from some of the most selective colleges in the country, both public and private.  In March, families can meet with representatives from colleges throughout the nation at the CCIS College Fair.
